A suspect is in custody after a knife attack at Grand Central 42 Street subway station in New York injured two with neck and wrist slashes.

NYPD officials confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody after two people were slashed in separate attacks inside the Grand Central-42nd Street subway station on Christmas Eve.

NEW YORK - A suspect is in custody after two people were slashed in Grand Central Station Christmas Eve. It happened at around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday night. A 26-year-old woman was slashed in the neck and 42-year-old male was slashed in the wrist.

A man accused of using a knife to slash a man and a woman at the subway station is facing assault and menacing charges.

Jason Sargeant, 28, was held on $150,000 bail at his arraignment Wednesday night, and is facing several charges, including assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
