Williams allegedly shut off the water to a toilet to help clear the way for the inmates to escape, sources said.

The group assembled in Cell 6 included men who had been held in the Orleans Justice Center for months or years, many of them accused of terrible crimes.

It comes as the search intensifies for five inmates who remain at large after escaping from a different jail in New Orleans.
