Newly inaugurated President Prabowo Subianto has announced Indonesia’s largest cabinet with 109 members representing his pledge for a strong government. He named his cabinet of ministers, vice ministers and head of national agencies the Red And White Cabinet, referring to the colours of Indonesia’s flag.

In succeeding Joko Widodo to the presidency, Prabowo is expected to take a more hands-on and personal approach to major policy areas.

In Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto took over as president of the country at Jakarta today. The 73-year-old Prabowo Subianto officially became Indonesia's eighth president today after he was sworn in during a ceremony at Indonesia's parliament. He will lead the country of 280 million people.
