To Seattle's credit, when the team falls short of its goals, the franchise never wastes time deciding on whether or not to pivot in a new direction. Such is the case for the Seahawks now, as they decided to completely renovate their offense.

It wasn't an easy offseason for the San Francisco 49ers. After a five-year window where Super Bowl contention was the goal each offseason, the 49ers spent the 2025 offseason starting a retooling of its roster that saw a mass exodus of veteran talent.

The Seahawks have experienced significant turnover on their offense, which has lead to a drastic change in their rankings this season.

The Seattle Seahawks entered the 2024 season with a strong offensive supporting cast on paper. Quarterback Geno Smith had a trio of effective receivers at his disposal in DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Tyler Lockett. The duo of Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet were supposed to form a productive backfield.

The Seattle Seahawks may not have the Legion of Boom anymore, but they still have a pretty great defense. Head coach Mike Macdonald is a defensive mastermind, but the players GM John Schneider has brought together deserve some praise.
