A bill banning THC passed in the Texas House late Wednesday night. In a 95-44 vote, Senate Bill 3 passed in the House, banning all THC products. Adults would face up to a year in jail for possessing any THC product.

The ban aims to remove products — made legal through a 2019 loophole — that provide a similar high to marijuana and are easily accessible to the general public.

The move could anger House members who agreed to ban recreational THC with assurances that veterans and others in need would have better access to the program.
