The political thriller, which follows new US ambassador to the UK Kate Wyler (Keri Russell) as she tries to balance an international crisis and forge strategic alliances, is due to return later this month.

Keri Russell’s exploits as the foreign ambassador to the UK are not over yet. The Diplomat has been renewed for a third season at Netflix, marking an early renewal for the series ahead of Season 2’s premiere at the end of the month.

One particular production that falls into the latter category is the recently canned That ‘90s Show. Now, only about a week since that decision was reported, another two-season show has been axed by the company.

Netflix has renewed its Keri Russell-starring political thriller The Diplomat for a third season, three weeks before season two starts streaming. The streamer's chief content officer Bela Bajaria shared the news while speaking at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles.
