The Montreal Canadiens may be without one of their top defensemen after Kaiden Guhle suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury in Tuesday’s 4–1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

The Montreal Canadiens had a relatively smooth sailing first half of the season injury wise, but they've been rocked by a couple of injuries which have upset the team's balance.

Guhle is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery Wednesday to repair a lacerated quadricep muscle.
