Most Barrow County students will be heading back to school Tuesday for the first time since the deadly mass shooting last week. Only Apalachee High School students will not be going back yet.

No return date is set for Apalachee High School, where two teachers and two students were killed by a 14-year-old student last week.

Many students in Georgia's Barrow County are headed back to class Tuesday, six days after a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School.

Apalachee High School is planning a “gradual reopening” the week of Sept. 23, the school announced Friday — more than two weeks after police say a student shot and killed four people at the Barrow County campus.

Gwinnett County students, Georgia Youth Coalition, and advocacy groups are gathering at J. B. Williams Park in Lilburn to demand change from state legislators. During the hour-long walkout, speakers directly impacted by gun violence will share their experiences.

Officials said so far this school year four students have been arrested for either posting an online threat or bringing a weapon to school.
