To the chagrin of parents, most Triangle school systems waited until well after the snow was falling Tuesday night to decide to close schools the next day.

"The School City sets their highest priority on student and staff safety," Interim School Superintendent Debra Howe said.

Triangle school systems will remain closed on Thursday as the area digs out from the latest winter storm. All Triangle school systems closed their schools on Wednesday due to the inclement weather. A few districts had remote learning days where students worked on their own from home.
