According to Deadline, which first reported the news of the series’ cancellation, this was a result of its hefty production price tag and waning viewership numbers. The Wheel of Time books consisted of 14 books, the final three of which were completed after Jordan’s death by Brandon Sanderson.

Amazon Prime Video has reportedly scrapped its costly fantasy drama The Wheel of Time after three seasons. The decision comes just over a month after the season three finale was released on 17 April.
