Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says weather-related deaths have risen to 15 after recent flooding as rescue efforts begin to come to an end.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said search and rescue operations are continuing Wednesday night after historic flooding left at least 14 people dead.

Governor Andy Beshear addressed the pressing challenges state crews face as they work to clear hazardous road conditions caused by a recent snowstorm and subsequent flooding.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said five more Kentuckians have died as a result of the severe weather the Commonwealth experienced this week. That means 20 Kentuckians have died from the weather. He said the most recent deaths were in Warren, Pike, Caldwell, Ohio and Morgan Counties.

The death toll from recent inclement weather in Kentucky the last few days has risen to 15, Gov. Andy Beshear announced Thursday. The new death came out of Livingston County. No other information about the death or the victim was released.

Officials are still in the search and rescue phase after heavy rain caused deadly widespread flooding across Kentucky.
