Per SNY's Ian Begley, New York Knicks reps Mikal Bridges and Tom Thibodeau took some time to talk time prior to Wednesday's game in Portland. Bridges made headlines when a report from Stefan Bondy of the New York Post declared that he had spoken with the head coach Thibodeau about cutting down on the Knicks starters' workload.

Things started awkwardly between the Knicks starter and coach, and then ended with Bridges hitting the game-winner in overtime vs. Portland.

Bridges told reporters in Portland ahead of tipoff against the Trail Blazers on Wednesday he asked Tom Thibodeau to reduce the Knicks starters’ minutes, citing a bench he believes can help the team win games if trusted with a greater workload.
