Minnesota state Sen. John Hoffman has been released from a hospital intensive care unit and into a rehabilitation facility to continue his recovery from a politically-motivated attack in June, a family spokesperson tells CNN Tuesday.

Minnesota state Sen. John Hoffman, who was shot alongside his wife in a politically motivated shooting last month, was released from the hospital Monday. Hoffman moved out of a hospital intensive care unit and into a rehabilitation facility.
