The San Francisco 49ers will have their work cut out for them this offseason as they look to recover from a disastrous 2024 campaign. and they may look to old friend Robert Saleh for help

After being named the defensive coordinator for the Jets when Saleh was hired, Ulbrich took over as interim head coach when New York opted for a coaching change five games into the 2024 season. Both Saleh and Ulbrich have received credit for changing New York's defense from one of the worst to a top-five unit over the last three seasons.

The Jaguars have requested an interview with Saleh for their head coach vacancy, the team announced Tuesday. Saleh is one of eight candidates on the team’s initial list, which includes hot names in Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Detroit defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.
