It’s been just over a month since the Nintendo Switch 2 launched and ushered in the next generation of Nintendo hardware. Most of us here at Kotaku own the thing and have been playing it over the past four weeks.

I still remember when the original Switch launched back in 2017. At the time, I recommended the Switch and gave it high marks despite being underpowered when compared to other consoles, something that colored plenty of reviews and doom and gloom forecasts about the device at the time.

We’re still firmly in the honeymoon period with the Switch 2 right now. Most of us are still exploring Mario Kart World‘s open world for secrets or wondering if Welcome Tour was worth the $10 price tag.
