After Storm Blair hit the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Midwest with nearly a foot of sleet and snow, airlines are canceling thousands of flights.

The bad weather conditions quickly translated to flight disruptions with more than 1,490 flights canceled within, into, or out of the U.S. as of Monday morning, according to flight tracker FlightAware. That followed more than 1,800 flights that were canceled on Sunday.

A major winter storm impacting the Midwest has moved to the Mid-Atlantic, causing travel disruptions. Airlines are offering travel waivers.
