Thus far, Timothée Chalamet’s career has been defined by being cast in thrilling roles by thrilling directors. His latest challenge is no different: playing Bob Dylan in the James Mangold-directed A Complete Unknown.

Biopic are huge gambles, especially when the focus is a music heavyweight. So, when Timothée Chalamet signed onto the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, fans (and critics) had reservations.

Timothée Chalamet said that casting directors rejected him for major movies early in his career, including "The Maze Runner" and "Divergent," because he was too thin. But he said the rejection prepared him for his latest role as the music legend Bob Dylan.

The actor is adamant that he's interpreting Dylan in "A Complete Unknown" biopic, not providing "fact," but rather "fable."
