BOSTON — Game 2 of the Red Sox and Orioles doubleheader Friday has been postponed due to rain. It will be played Saturday at 1:05 p.m. as part of a day-night doubleheader. The second game tomorrow will start at 6:35 p.m. after it initially was scheduled for 4:10 p.m.
Jarren Duran and the Boston Red Sox will play Ryan O'Hearn and the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park in the second of a four-game series, on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. ET. The Red Sox pitching staff ranks 14th in the majors with a collective 8.4 strikeouts per nine innings. The Orioles have the 29th-ranked ERA (5.75) in the majors this season.
The Red Sox and Orioles had planned on playing a split doubleheader on Friday, but Mother Nature had other ideas. After Boston routed Baltimore, 19-5, in Game 1, the scheduled second game was postponed due to an extended period of rain in the Fenway Park area.
