Police say officers responded to the Family Dollar on East Boundary for reports of a robbery around 9:00 a.m. on March 21.

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are searching for the suspect involved in a robbery Tuesday night in Warwick. Police say the clerk at the Family Dollar on Warwick Avenue was robbed at knifepoint around 9:30 p.m. The clerk was not hurt but the suspect did take off with a small amount of cash.

Chicago police say the suspect was arrested 20 minutes after the robbery from the store located in the 2700 block of West North Avenue.

Officers responded to the Family Dollar at North and Fairfield avenues shortly before 9:30 p.m. Police said a clerk there told officers two men robbed the store, and one of them had a handgun.
