The 15-time major champion, who was expected to make his 2025 debut on tour this week at the Genesis Invitational on the South Course at Torrey Pines in San Diego, said Monday that he's still processing the death of his mother and won't play in the event.

It's also disappointing that The Genesis was set to be the stage of Tiger Woods' return to the PGA Tour. It was announced late last week that Tiger, who also serves as the tournament's host, was ready to tee it up for the first time in an official event since The Open Championship last July.
