Germany is awaiting news on the severity of captain Giulia Gwinn’s latest knee injury at the Women’s European Championship.

Germany captain Giulia Gwinn is ruled out of Euro 2025 after a scan reveals she has suffered a medial ligament injury in her left knee.

Germany will without their influential captain Giulia Gwinn for the rest of women's Euro 2025 due to a left knee injury, which however is not as serious as initially feared. The national federation DFB on X said that an MRI scan in Zurich on Saturday revealed that Gwinn "suffered a medial collateral ligament injury to her left knee yesterday in the match against Poland.
