Central Drug Store in the Excelsior District will be closing its doors on July 15 after over 100 years. Owner Jerry Tonelli announced he will be retiring.

The closure comes as Central Drug Store owner Jerry Tonelli announced his retirement after almost 50 years. The Tonelli family purchased and assumed ownership of Central Drug Store in 1965.

After 116 years, 5 plus owners and 60 plus years of family business, Jerry Tonelli says goodbye to the Excelsior legacy drugstore.
