Judge Beryl Howell is now presiding over an emergency lawsuit surrounding President Donald Trump's order to review any current contracts that law group Perkins Coie has with federal agencies and consider terminating them.

The administration improperly targeted the firm based on its clients’ political positions, according to a court ruling.

A judge imposed a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration, barring it from enforcing parts of an executive order penalizing a law firm.
