President Donald Trump has authorized the deployment of an additional 2,000 National Guard members to help respond to protests in Los Angeles over immigration raids.

Thousands of protesters took to the street in Los Angeles on Sunday in response to President Donald Trump's extraordinary deployment of the National Guard against Gov. Gavin Newsom's wishes.

Unlawful assembly was declared for all of downtown Los Angeles on Sunday evening as law enforcement tried to quell the ongoing unrest throughout the area.
