The audacious feat, one of the biggest jailbreaks in Louisiana history, exploited safety issues in the jail that had previously been cited by federal authorities.

Two arrests occurred on Friday, as the number of people alleged to have assisted the 10 inmates who escaped from the Orleans Justice Center grows.

The charges range from accessory after the fact to principal to simple escape. Investigators said the group aided the escapees in various ways.
