The emails in January show why the relationship between the team and county further deteriorated in 2024. The Enquirer previously reported that the team and county accused each other of breaching the lease in the summer of 2024. Blackburn even broke off negotiations for a time in July 2024 saying in a July 26 email talks "have proven useless."
