State police said they are investigating a possible shooting that happened Tuesday night on Interstate 96 on Detroit's west side. Dispatchers at about 11 p.m. Tuesday received a call reporting that two male gunshot victims had arrived at a hospital and told staff they were wounded while traveling on I-96, officials said.

A police shooting occurred in Sherwood on Sunday afternoon, resulting in an arrest, the Sherwood Police Department said. Officials offered no details, saying only that “an officer-involved shooting took place” at 21900 Southwest Langer Farms Parkway at about 4:22 p.m. and that the “suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the public.”

Detroit police have arrested a man suspected of shooting and injuring two people at last month's Ford Fireworks in Detroit. The shooting happened at around 10:04 p.m. on June 23 in the area of Randolph and Larned streets.
