The second season of Wednesday will be ‘very intense’ and have horror movie moments, the creator has promised. The hit Netflix show first premiered in 2022, following Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams as she attended Nevermore Academy – a school for children with supernatural powers – and promptly found herself smack bang in a murder mystery.
HBO’s The Last of Us has invented an entirely new Ellie for season 2 that didn’t exist in the (much better) season 1 and certainly did not exist in the games at all.

HBO's The Last of Us series just wrapped up its second season, and viewership across all platforms for the finale reached 3.7 million people. That's down 30% from the 5.3 million viewers for the Season 2 premiere in April ( via Variety) and down 55% from the 8.2 million viewers for the Season 1 finale in 2023.
Season 2 of The Last of Us concluded Sunday night with an audience of 3.7M cross-platform viewers in the U.S., per HBO. This is significantly lower than the Season 2 premiere episode’s 5.3M viewers, but the networks says they expect there to be significant growth after the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
It may only be small comfort, with likely a two year wait to return to that theater in Seattle, but let it be some comfort to all viewers that “ The Last of Us ” was renewed well before Season 2 ends with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) held at gunpoint by Abby (Kaitlyn Dever) and with a shot ringing out over one of the HBO series’ most brutal cuts to black.
According to HBO’s own figures at the time, the season two premiere drew 5.3 million viewers across platforms, a 13 percent increase from the first season’s debut. And now, with Nielsen’s more comprehensive numbers in hand,
