It is cold enough for snow, and we’ve got more on the way, says FOX 5’s Tucker Barnes, as all eyes shift to a winter weather system that is threatening the Washington, D.C. region this weekend.

The first significant blast of winter weather this season covered the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia areas with snow on Monday, prompting most school districts in the area to close. But will schools close again on Tuesday?

After a pretty cloudy and once again cold Friday afternoon, light snow is expected to start overspreading the region into the later evening hours.

Another blast of winter weather is targeting the Washington, D.C. region this weekend. FOX 5's Taylor Grenda says the light snow will arrive late Friday through early Saturday morning. Most areas will pick up a trace to an inch.
