Sum 41 music agent among those killed in San Diego plane crash
Prominent music agent Dave Shapiro is among those who were killed after a small plane crashed into a residential street in San Diego, according to his talent agency. Mr Shapiro was the co-founder of Sound Talent Group, whose clients include rock bands like Sum 41, Story of the Year and Pierce the Veil.

“We lost one of the best people ever,” Shane Told, vocalist for the Ontario post-hardcore band Silverstein wrote in an Instagram story. “I watched Dave go from drummer and merch guy to entrepreneur and one of the most important people in the industry. But along the way he was first and foremost a friend.”
Dave Shapiro was a co-founder of Sound Talent Group, a music agency that represents hundreds of artists including Silverstein.
