Clemson’s softball season ended Saturday night with the Tigers still seeking the program’s first trip to the Women’s College World Series. Texas (51-11) defeated the Tigers 6-5 to win the Austin Super Regional, securing the Longhorns’ eighth WCWS berth in program history.
Fresh off a rough outing against Texas A&M where she gave up six runs in the 14-2 loss and didn’t record an out, Morgan held up well against a powerful roster. Morgan stranded two to end the third and then proceeded to retire six in a row before running into some trouble in the seventh.
A throw from center field by Jamison Brockenbrough was the turning point of Clemson softball's NCAA tournament super regional win at Texas.
