Site work has begun near Nimmo Parkway and Princess Anne Road on a memorial to remember those killed in the May 31, 2019 mass shooting at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center.

The City of Virginia Beach will be home to a line-up of concerts, festivals and entertainment. Beach Events are sponsored by the city of Virginia Beach and produced by IMGoing.

The 5/31 committee and architects met to discuss the 5/31 memorial which is scheduled to be completed and open to the public in May 2026.
