Veteran forward Brad Marchand said the Florida Panthers sensed the toll pressure took on the Toronto Maple Leafs while his team rode a relaxed mentality into Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series.

The Panthers scored three goals in a 6:24 span of the second period to quiet the Toronto crowd and go on to defeat the Maple Leafs.

Toronto knotted this second-round series against the Florida Panthers at three games each with a stunning 2-0 victory in Game 6 at Amerant Bank Arena.

Joseph Woll stopped all 22 shots he faced and Auston Matthews broke a scoreless tie 6:20 into the third period as the Leafs pushed their Eastern Conference Second Round series to a seventh game with a 2-0 victory over the Florida Panthers in Game 6.

Toronto, which won the Atlantic Division and beat the Ottawa Senators in the first round, took a 2-0 series lead with wins by scores of 5-4 in Game 1 and 4-3 in Game 2 in their home barn.

The Maple Leafs score twice in the third period to defeat the Panthers in Sunrise and force Game 7 in Toronto on May 18.
