Comet the Golden Retriever had been missing more than a week when she walked into the Waterford Police Department for help Tuesday, police say.

Chin scratches and some serious tail wagging were in order when a local pup reunited with her family on Tuesday. “Comet” deserved all the love after she was struck by a car and missing for more than a week.

WATERFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Police are looking to identify suspects who stole hundreds of dollars worth of dog food. According to the Waterford Police Department, on January 30, two men were at the Petco on Route 85 and grabbed nine bag of dog food worth $861.91 and left the store without paying.
