The defense team for South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol says he will attend the hearing of his impeachment trial at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday.

President Yoon Suk Yeol's legal team in his impeachment case said Saturday it has submitted a formal request to the Constitutional Court, urging three justices to recuse themselves, citing concerns over impartiality.

The Constitutional Court warned that questioning the political inclinations of individual justices could "distort the trial’s nature and infringe upon judicial authority."
