I've been using your archived wordle and I love it!!! One request: on wordle there is ability to play using "hard mode" which requires player to use any revealed hints in subsequent guesses. Jan 22, 2023 · Original Wordle included the word lists in the HTML source code, so anyone could get them. Here's an alphabetical list of the 2315 solution words. Since the New York Times took over, they first removed a half-dozen of the words as potential solutions and then more recently gave "creative control" of the solution list to one of their staff.

Jan 6, 2022 · One element to note for others (and I believe this is true of Wordle as well) if a letter appears more than once, that isn't indicated, so if you have an E for instance that shows up as Green (in the right spot) or Yellow (in the word, but wrong spot) that won't tell you if there's another E somewhere else as well...

Feb 4, 2022 · shuffled_real_wordles.txt is all the words that have been or will be solutions, official_allowed_guesses.txt is an additional list of words you're allowed to guess, combined_wordlist.txt is those lists combined, wordle_historic_words.txt is the first 200 words that were used as answers.

Feb 9, 2022 · My Wordle solver says that "TORIES" is the best six letter word, but I haven't implemented any kind of word-frequency yet so my program is definitely not fully optimal. Another top choice is u/poftim 's recommendation of "SATIRE" (in fact, that's the only suggestion in the comments so far that my program rates highly; "SATIRE" is #14 of 23033).
