Being able to play Crank The Game on Playdate would be GREAT, I'd actually buy the console just to play this game there. Some reviews are complaining that the crank in the console is kinda a gimmick, not really useful, while it could be really beneficial to play this game, especially in the early stages. What do you think?

Jan 3, 2022 · Crank Bros are great in mud, but can be inconsistent. They get more play/easier disengagement as the cleats age, which also happens much faster than SPDs. Pedal strikes on crank bros can cause the pedal to open, although this isn’t a huge issue in practice (but you can feel it occasionally). SPD bearings are incredible.

Cups being "too tight" wouldn't cause an issue. I mean, you'd have to REALLY have them on there tight to the point that you were distorting the cup itself which is unlikely.

And I thought crank wave was electronic weirdness, it came up on my wrapped as like no3 and because I like (or at least know) all the bands OP mentioned, but I also like industrial electric noise with (granted sometimes outburts of shouting) - I'm mainly using Xiu Xiu as my example there and I played the hell out of them last year.

On the road bike I tried to switch from 170mm to 167.5mm but that felt too short on hilly/mountainous routes, so changed back to 170mm. So I'd say that crank length depends on position (flatter back -> shorter) and terrain (flatter route -> shorter). On a standard road bike, the standard crank lengths work quite well imo.
