Nov 2, 2024 · Some games allow PS5 Pro to select the standard modes, even if they're inferior to the Pro mode(s). This is shown by standard modes having both open and filled numbers. For Game Boost entries, all the numbers will be filled. That's because the Pro is literally using the exact same modes as standard PS5, just usually running better.

Nov 21, 2024 · As it is now, the PS5 Pro is a console meant for people who want 60 fps no matter the visual cost. I'm still hanging on to it though, as I'm sure it will be the best place for Death Stranding 2 and GTA6 next year but damn if it's not a complete disappointment at the moment.

Dec 22, 2024 · FF7 Rebirth is obviously a main highlight as the only game with a PS5 Pro patch, and probably the biggest win for PS5 Pro in the entire library so far. Base PS5 in Performance mode shifts between 1152p and 1296p while Pro sees a small bump to 1224p to 1440p, but by far the bigger jump is switching from Square's old basic upscale method to PSSR.
