Dec 8, 2018 · RE: Bought a used CB1100 - valve adjustment question. As for oil, use one that meets Honda's spec's laid out in the owner's manual, whether 10-30 or 10-40, and change when called for. This was my CB last year in Italy, doing ~3,800 km in one week: I rode a saddlesore 1000 (1,000 miles in 24 hours) on the CB to get down there from Germany to Italy. Then I explored the Toscana and the Appenin for 5 days, before heading home again.

Suspension adjustment - CB1100 Forum
04-25-2014, 07:32 PM. I finally took the time to adjust the suspension on my 2013. I didn't have the preload tool but I did have an oil filter wrench (kind of like a giant set of pliers) that did the trick. I changed the shocks to the third position from soft and then adjusted the fork preload screws down to the second mark.
