Oct 8, 2020 · I have to mention the memory runs by default at 2933 MHz at XMP 2 , at least on my motherboard. I don't know why they advertise it as 3000 MHz when it runs at 2933 MHz, I'm not complaining but they should be clear about it. Whatever, it works great and I'm happy with it. -----Register the serial numbers at Crucial (or Micron) See what happens.

Oct 1, 2003 · Micron still makes the chips for the Crucial memory. Buying Crucial does not guarantee that you will get Micron chips anymore, however. I got some Crucial with a Samsung badge about 8 months ago. Having used mosty Crucial in the past, I can say from my experience that Micron chips o/c better and are more stable at aggressive timings.
