KTM 990 Fuel Injection : Questions | Adventure Rider
Aug 20, 2017 · I'm diagnosing a KTM 990 that won't run. It cranks (I jumped the aux starter relay to bypass the starter interlock in the starting circuit), and it has spark. The fuel pump is providing fuel at a reasonable pressure. I haven't grabbed a dial to measure it exactly. The injectors flow fluid (cleaner) when I test them off the bike.

Oct 14, 2021 · A sign that your injector (s) need service: it starts and runs fine at idle but misses at higher revs. You'll need air pressure with a blow adapter, eye protection, 2 to 3 inches of rubber hose (fuel line hose works well), a small hose clamp and any brand of fuel injector cleaner.

Aug 16, 2005 · Has anyone had anything good to say about the the new fuel injection on the 990 Adventure? The comments I hear are that it runs erratic at slow speeds, and the gas mileage really sucks. Should I buy an 06 model?
