WEBThe color is Ellie Gray and it doesn't read too green, blue, tan, etc. in my home. Unfortunately, it will be too dark when I paint the family room, nook, and kitchen. I tried to find the color that is one shade lighter but this is one of their special colors that doesn't come on a paint strip so I can't just move up a shade.

The employees in the paint departments of both stores are the first to tell you that their equipment isn't advanced enough to do color matching really really well. It was Lowes that actually told me to try an independent paint store after they couldn't match a color after trying 3 times.

Which I thought looked just on the gray side of white in the app, and it turns out to be the exact same shade of gray I painted the rest of the house.

WEBJul 14, 2015 · I've stained the deck by hand in the past and this was so much faster and it looks better - it's very even coverage. We bought a sprayer that could do paint and stain; it was great for painting trim this past winter (un-installed trim), so I definitely think it's worth it. With the sprayer, the prep work took longer than the actually staining.
