On May 22, 1994 WCW Slamboree: A Legends Reunion took place at the Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the main event, Sting takes on Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) for the vacant WCW International World Heavyweight Championship. On May 7, 2000 the eighth and final WCW Slamboree took place at the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. The main event was a three-tiered cage match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, with champion David Arquette defending against Jeff Jarrett and Diamond Dallas Page. The cage used was featured in the WCW-produced film Ready To Rumble, which featured Arquette and Page in starring roles and had premiered several weeks earlier in theaters nationwide. | Davenport Sports Network
