Kick off the new year by trying a new technique! Here's how to sew a blind hem using the Blind Hem Foot: 1. Fold and press under the raw edge of your fabric, or finish the fabric raw edge with an overedge stitch or serger 2. Fold the hem to the wrong side with the fold back, leaving about 1/4" of the raw edge sticking out from the fold 3. Place fabric under foot, lining up fold along front extension of foot 4. Adjust the foot as needed until the left movement of the needle just pierces the fold

This is a blind hem foot, sometimes also know as a blind stitch foot. As the names suggests, it’s main function is to help you sew a blind hem which is an awesome technique, but not something I use very regularly. However, it can also help with something I do almost every day - topstitching! The foot has a little adjustable ledge which you can move from side to side. If you position that ledge in your seam, it will then stay in there as you sew, enabling you to sew your topstitching perfectly st
