What do growth percentages really mean? ⬇️ Growth charts are just ONE way your provider tracks how your child is growing over time. If your child is 25th percentile length for age, they are taller than 25% of kids their age and shorter than 75% of kids their age. If they’re 80th percentile weight for age, they weigh more than 80% of the kids their age and less than 20% of the kids their age. The number itself doesn’t mean as much as the trend - one measurement on a growth chart really isn’t help
