WATCH: Taal Volcano's Main Crater has been emitting visible degassing plumes since August 29, 2025, as shown in the current footage from the Main Crater and the Buco, Talisay Observation Stations. The resumption of plume activity was preceded by weak but persisting tremor since August 27, 2025 and followed by a sudden ten-fold increase in sulfur dioxide or SO2 emission to 4,514 tonnes/day on August 30, 2025.
