This week saw the first attempt of an Icelandic version of a Gullfest at Húsavík in northeast Iceland. Gulls were watched, including the numerous 'Viking Gulls', Harlequin Ducks and Barrow's Goldeneyes put on a show not to mention Gyr Falcons that own this region. Talks were given about the history of Gullfest in Vardø (by Tormod Amundsen from Biotope), about the gulls of Iceland (by Yann), about the British twitching scene (by Tom Lowe from Rare Bird Alert) and last but not least about painting
