We're re-sharing this video from USS Constitution as they started down-rigging Old Ironsides to remove the 10,000-pound main fighting top so it can be replaced! Today marks 209 years since USS Constitution made the Great Escape during the War of 1812. Captain Isaac Hull and his crew spent 3 days from July 16-19, 1812 being chased by a squadron of 5 Royal Navy ships near Egg Harbor, New Jersey.
