The habitat boost for black grouse in south Ayrshire has begun! We're starting to remove non-native conifers which were growing on this historic lek site. This will help restore the habitat and make it better for black grouse. A lek is a gathering of black grouse during the mating season – with this site being one of the largest in south Scotland.
