⛏️ Our Mine Safety and Health Administration was created on this date in 1978 as a result of the Mine Act, and is responsible for setting and enforcing regulations that protect workers in America’s mines. While our work is far from done, annual mining fatalities have dropped significantly in the past 45 years.
